Meet Iwannabeinwindows2 browser !
Ok, so there is something funny going on here in the EU regarding Windows 7. A couple of companies specialized in web browsing (Opera, Mozilla)are complaining about IE being part of Windows which from their point of view falls under the antitrust law. Obviously, they want their browsers to be shipped with Windows 7 so the user can choose which browser (s)he wants to use. I think this is just silly for many reasons … But hey, you never know what’s [...]

But hey, you never know what’s going to happen, so I’ve decided to create my own browser so I can join the party. I called it Iwannabeinwindows2, and it is simply my master piece ! Now I hoppe I’ll make it to Windows 7 and make tons of money with it

OMG that UI is hilarious!!! HAHAHA!!! Well Done!
I think this is a great statement.
I also think that the browsers are ridiculous in thinking this
Why not remove winows media player? or windows defender? or sidebar? or put every program ever made in the package ?!?!?!
I actually think this is a good browser anyway, so i am thinking of setting it as my default. perhapsyou could make it skinnable?
Also, you have forgotten Google Chrome. and I think that safari doesn’t count as it is distributed in OS X which has nothing else.
Anyway, Good work!

@Tork : Thanks
@JBG : “Why not remove winows media player?” Actully they did … It’s called Windows XP N. (http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_n.asp).
To show people what kind of software they could find in Windows if the EU was pushing things too hard
“I actually think this is a good browser anyway” Are you kidding ? This browser is a joke, that’s the whole point
Safari is also available on Windows !

I know this is is a joke but it has a simple interface and easy bookmark access, as well as a funny GUI. I know about the whole point of this, but still it would brighten my internet browsing up, having these things, as i don’t even use most features of other browsers.
Safari is made by apple, and preloaded on OS X, whilst compatible with windows, and OS X comes with no other browsers pre-loaded.
IE is made by microsoft, and preloaded on windows whilst compatible with OS X, and windows comes with no other browsers pre-loaded.
there is a definate parallel here ;D

“IE is made by microsoft, and preloaded on windows whilst compatible with OS X, and windows comes with no other browsers pre-loaded.”
You know that the last version of IE that is OS X compatible is IE5, right?
June 12, 2009
oops, no, but still, the two do seem to be paralells

looky here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/feedarticle/8554216
now no browsers come preloaded. I honestly think that’s more fair, but i think it makes little difference. such a fuss about nothing.

Funny Yann.. but you don’t understand.
Windows have a dominated position.
windows “offer” (very very expensive offer…, with your new computer… offer that you can’t refuse…) a browser with the OS, on the computer of the installers (HP, Dell, Lenovo,…)
IE don’t integrated very well nor very speedly the standards of web.
(some little-used broowers, like kasehakaze, arora, epyphany or opera have much better results at standards web tests then IE…)
IE choose the internationals webs standards it integrated.. or not.
=> unless what must be done, most websites don’t make sites for the internationals standards (c.f. w3c), but a double site : for IE AND the internationals standards; and, for the poorly sites, only for IE
Firefox have html5 (an international standard) integrated, not IE8.
html5 is a very important evolution, with, for example,
But, some webmasters will wait hypothetic integration of html5 in IE 9 or 10, before use html5…
=> IE retarded the good developpement of the web, and the integration of the standards solutions.
This judgement may -in the better way- stopped “the power to say “NO” at some webs evolutions” of MS.
For MS,
it’s important to try to make people use IE:
it’s can “offer” bing or the horrible livesearch in toolbars, in order to generate money when you make a search (publicity + informations collected for use and sell)
and it make MS choose the evolution of the web, of the use of the standards… instead of the consumers
p.s.
sorry for my grammair/vocabulary, but try to write a text in a foreign languague (my languague for example) instead of laughting ^^
